    1. We recommend reading through all project steps before beginning.
    2. Pre-cut fabric by hand to fit on mat.
    3. TIP: Allow the excess fabric to hang off the mat. Trim off cut portion and use leftover fabric for another project.
    4. Mat 1 and 2 - Place white mesh fabric onto the FabricGrip mat.
    5. Mat 3 - Place iron-on material, shiny side (clear liner) down, on StandardGrip mat.
    6. Mat 4 and 5 - Place navy cotton fabric onto the FabricGrip mat.
    7. Gather all of the pieces.
    8. Sew the tail pieces right sides together and notch the edges.
    9. Repeat with the two sets of flippers.
    10. Turn pieces right side out and press.
    11. Match up mesh portion and navy body piece along the curved edge. Pin the completed flipper, with the curved portion as pictured, sandwiched between the mesh and cotton. Stitch along long curve.
    12. Repeat with the other side. Sew completed pieces right sides together to create the bag piece.
    13. Press all of the short edges of the casing pieces in at 1/8". Press one long edge of the casing piece down at 1/8" (3 mm) and then again at 1/2". Stitch in place using coordinating thread. Repeat with second casing piece.
    14. Sew completed casing to the top of the bag, right sides together and so that casing openings match up with the side seams.
    15. Carefully press seams avoiding mesh or use a pressing cloth.
    16. Use a needle and thread to gather the mesh at the bottom of the bag.
    17. Insert the tail on the right side of the bag and stitch across all layers to secure the tail and the gather.
    18. Turn the bag right side out. Use a Weeder to remove unneeded iron-on pieces, leaving design on clear liner. Apply iron-on to your project using Cricut EasyPress™ and Cricut EasyPress Mat. Click Here for the Heat Transfer Guide for the perfect time and temp settings. Make sure that the eyes are placed in the same position on the outside of the face shape.
    19. Tie one length of the cotton cording to a safety pin to thread it through the casing all the way around. Repeat from the other side. Tie the ends together to prevent them coming out of the casing.
