Works well with smooth glide for designs.
I have a basic wood burner which works well, but I like this higher end model because the heat settings can be controlled and it seems to have a smoother glide to make the designs. Although there are several tips, the less expensive model has many more tips. Maybe there are more tips for this model that I don't know about.

Uneven trace and burn. Included tips do not perform as indicated in the instructions. Cord too short. Chunky and hard to manage. Very likely to get burned. I’ll return.

Good quality tips, but overpriced for what you get
Compact, easy to use, good quality tips, heats up quickly. Great for burning on cork trivets. Can't comment on burning on wood, but preliminary brief trial indicates possible issue with heat retention. OK for beginners, but seems overpriced. Not for novices or professionals.
