The Free Motion/Darning Foot gives better visibility around the foot when free motion quilting. The closed toe helps prevent threads or fabrics from getting stuck in the foot, especially when stitching on lace-type fabrics.
- Great for free motion quilting when used with a straight stitch and lowering / covering the feed dogs.
- Create beautiful monograms and free motion embroidery by selecting a narrow zigzag, setting the stitch length to zero and lowering / covering the feed dogs

Love the clear presser foot

Wrong Foot
Thought it could be used with templates but it isn’t the right foot. Singer does not carry the foot I needed, unfortunately. Company graciously gave me my money back and I thank you for that.

Singer Free Motion Darning Foot
I purchased this foot as part of a Singer kit for my 4423 Heavy Duty Singer machine. It is as pictured on page 10 in the manual for optional accessories. I have followed all directions, but can not seem to raise or lower the presser foot. Is there something that I am missing?

Still not as pictured
I thought after reading another reviewer's comment that they would have sorted this out by now. I also received a plastic version of the pictures darning foot. Will have to look elsewhere for what I thought I was getting.
