We got this pattern for a Halloween costume, and had trouble with it because it doesn't come in a large enough size, we had to figure out how to expand it. This was really difficult. Also, the pattern includes a "hood," but the size/shape of the piece and the instructions produce a small attached cape, not anything like the instructions show (see photo of dress in progress.) We contacted Simplicity and they just said, "sorry you don't like it." Our final product is fine, but constructing it was really a nightmare. And always be aware that pattern size numbers are 3 or 4 sizes smaller than storebought clothes in the same number size.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pay attention to measurements and you'll be fine With one exception, the pattern was easy to follow and the dress turned out well. There was one instruction that was missing (sewing one seam on the hood) but I figured it out. Make sure that you work form measurements instead of size when working with this pattern - the measurements do not match the size you may purchase in ready-made clothing (measurements match 3 sizes larger).
