One of the better stretch chiffons I’ve worked with.
Pretty, but keep in mind that this fabric will show any ill fit if you don’t alter your patterns to fit your body. (Admittedly, my body requires a lot of pattern alteration—my curves are not where most patterns assume they are, for example—so your mileage may vary.) Sews nicely as long as you’re careful with it, beautiful color, nice and light even if you’re using multiple layers together. Can be slightly see-through in some spots if you only use one layer and are wearing dark undergarments.

stain on fabric from bolt
I found this product hard to sew as it was very slippery. Also off the bolt there was a small black blemish. I didn't notice this until I got home. I live over an hour away from local Joann's. I decided to try to wash fabric on gentle cycle to get rid of black blemish but it did not come out. I went ahead and made garment

Nice soft and flowing
This fabric is soft and flowing, fairly easy to sew, but you do need to use sharp scissors when you cut it and a small needle when sewing. It is best to hand wash or wash on gentle cycle, it does tend to pill with multiple washes so be sure to wash gently. It has a minimal stretch and if you need interfacing for your project I suggest sheer knit (sold at Joanns) because it works beautifully with this fabric and doesn't add a lot of stiffness or weight.

Tested by scientists for face masks
This exact chiffon fabric (Joann product ID 16376949, 90% polyester and 10% spandex) was tested in the Konda et al 2020 paper titled "Aerosol Filtration Efficiency of Common Fabrics Used in Respiratory Cloth Masks" and published in ACS Nano. It performed better than most materials & 2 layers were the same as an N95 mask (error bars overlapped). YouTuber Gail Kollmar made a video about the study if you're interested. This is a good fabric for face masks if you're sewing your own.
