SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1/2yd utility mesh fabric
  • 6 1/2"x 25" contrast fabric for bottom & casing
  • 1yd 9/32 cotton cable cord
  • 1/2" double fold bias tape
  • Matching Thread
  • Basic Sewing Supplies

  • FINAL MEASUREMENT: 12"x 14"

    DIRECTIONS:
      NOTE: Use 1/2" seam allowance.

    1. Cut (1) 25"x 15" from mesh.
    2. Cut (1) 25"x 4" from contrast for bottom.
    3. Cut (1) 25"x 2 1/2" from contrast for casing.
    4. Press under 1/2" on top edge of contrast bottom trim.
    5. Pin bottom trim to bottom edge of mesh.
    6. Edge stitch pressed edge.
    7. Press casing in half lengthwise, open and press edges under 1/4" on each side.
    8. Press under 1/4" on each end.
    9. Pin casing to top edge of mesh having mesh at the fold; edge stitch casing.
    10. With RST, fold bag in half, matching bottom contrast at the side; pin.
    11. Encase side and bottom seam with bias tape and stitch.
    12. Turn RS out.
    13. Thread cable cord through casing and knot ends.
