DIRECTIONS:

To find the downloadable patterns click on the "GET PATTERNS" tab above.
NOTE: Use 3/8" seam allowance throughout.
  1. Fuse Midweight interfacing to wrong side of main bag fabric per packaging instructions.
  2. Cut 1 and 1 REV Template A from main printed cotton fused to interfacing. Cut 1 and 1 Rev Template A from printed cotton lining fabric.
  3. With right sides together, sew side seams and bottom seam of main bag fabric. Repeat with lining fabric, but leave bottom seam open between dots as marked on Template A.
  4. Sew bag corners by matching side seam to bottom seam and bringing the side of the bag to lay over the bottom of the bag. Line up the edges of the square cut from each corner so that it creates a seam perpendicular to the side and bottom seams. Sew seam. Repeat for second corner on main bag fabric and both corners of lining.
  5. Turn under and press 3/8" on the four handle tops of lining only.
  6. Turn main bag fabric right side out and tuck it inside bag lining. Fabric should be right sides together. Match and pin side seams and handles. Sew top edge of bag on both curved sides and between handles, leaving only handle tops open. Clip curves.
  7. Turn right side out through opening in bottom of lining and tuck lining inside bag. Press handles and top edge of bag. Hand stitch opening in bottom of lining closed.
  8. With right sides together, pin and sew the main fabric handle tops together, being careful not to catch the folded lining tops in the seam. Tuck raw edges of the seam just sewn under the folded edges of the lining and hand stitch the two lining sides together. Repeat for second handle top. Press flat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very useful, pretty tote I like this tote very much and I plan to sew another. I used 45" home decor fabric to ensure stability. I would suggest overcasting all seams to avoid added bulk, especially at the top handles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Are you kidding? It would be helpful to have the finished size of the bag in the instructions. Also, if I hadn't already made this sort of bag with decent instructions, I wouldn't have a clue how to make this bag. PLEASE get someone who can communicate to write your instructions. I'm an advanced sewer and these instructions confused me!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Bag! I just made 3 of these bags. Used a 1/4" seam allowance and surged all edges. I love how they turned out, but I don't like how my top seams ended up. Just seems like there is a more efficient way to sew this pattern. a VIDEO would be helpful. Thank you!!
