SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Moss collection variety bag of assorted moss colors
- One box of Amazing Clear Cast Resin
- 4 Silicone baking cups - 1" tall
- Toothpicks for poking air bubbles
DIRECTIONS:
- Open the box of the Amazing Clear Resin and thoroughly read the instructions.
- From the bag of assorted mosses, select thin pieces with interesting details, branches or veining. For each coaster you should pick 2-3 different mosses in contrasting colors.
- Don't over pack the baking molds. Leave space around the mosses so you can appreciate the structure & details.
- Once your designs are set, mix the resin according to instructions. Slowly pour resin into the mold from the side, so as not to disrupt your layout of mosses. Fill the containers to 5/8" high.
- Using toothpicks, push down any floating mosses. Also push any air bubbles to the side to pop.
- Leave the coasters at room temperature to completely dry (48-72 hours). Once they are dry, slowly peel away the sides of the silicone baking cups.
JOANN HACKS:
- Watch the baking cups as the resin cures in the first 1/2 hour. Air bubbles will float up from under the mosses. Push the mosses down to bring air bubbles to the top.
