Three strikes you're outBought this yarn by mistake, what a waste of limited resources. It took 3 tries with 3 different hooks each try to get this very poorly dyes yarn to make actual granny squares. Gave up and knitted a C2C baby afghan, that is also disappointing.

I really enjoy this yarn!I had to scale down to a 4.5 mm hook to make the color come out right & not run over or under. Also I don't chain 6. I join at the end of the row with a slip stitch, then slip stitch the top of each DC until I'm at the chain 1 space. Then I slip stitch into the space, chain 3, crochet 2 DC, then go on with chain 3, 3 DC. Truck that around & end that row same way. I've come out just right on my color changes.

Learning curveI have wanted to try this yarn since the first time I saw it so I bought some during one of Joann's yarn sales. I both love and hate it. There is a learning curve for sure and sometimes it takes me several tries to get the colors to line up just right. However, it sure is nice to just keep going and not have to stop to switch colors or play the clean up game at the end to weave in the ends of the yarn. I am excited by the new color options and can't wait to get more!

Mixed reviewThe yarn provides a nice but big granny square without all the ends to sew in later. It is a little tricky to use at first and i almost gave up but preserved, with the help of YouTube videos.

Fiddly but fun!I will admit I wasn't too sold on this yarn at first, but after some fiddling and figuring out tension, I have to say it's pretty innovative. My least favorite part of a crochet project is weaving in ends, so when you get the tension down, this stuff is great!
I do still have to frog and redo areas on almost every square just to get colors to line up, but overall I think I'm still saving time on color changes and finishing.
My main complaint is that the outer color isn't necessarily accurate. Example: when using the Aran-Lilypad skein, the outer round isn't quite "aran," so when I use a skein of solid aran to join squares, they're noticeably different. I am worried this may be the case with more of the lighter colorways, but I haven't used them all yet.
On the plus side, the label says 14 squares per skein, but I've consistently gotten 15!
Overall though, I recommend this yarn for anyone who loves the look of granny squares but doesn't want to mess with multiple color changes and yarn noodles.

I like it!I was curious about this yarn, but saw a lot of online reviews that were less than stellar. I wanted to try it out for myself. I assume it's the same as Super Saver - it has the same feel anyway, not particularly soft, but I'm sure it will wear well. As for the pre-dyed colour changes, I actually like them. Yes, it takes a bit of getting used to, and I find myself using a 5.5mm hook and a 6mm hook within the same square to get the colours to land correctly, but I'm not too much of a perfectionist and I don't mind pulling back a little way to change the tension a bit if I have to. Two ends to weave in per square is nice.

VersatileVery pretty colors and versatile! YouTube has different videos to follow other than the basic granny square.
