Not like the colors pictured or that I've bought in the past
I bought 2 skeins of the Clover color. There's no orange in it, just some rust. One skein has a large section of tweedy dark green. The other has the rust speckled throughout. And they're the same dye lot. These look very little like the Clover I've bought in the past. I also bought 2 skeins of Cascade colors. Very dull teal and gray. Again, doesn't really resemble the photo.

Don’t buy the FX if you want your socks to match
I have made at least fifteen pairs of socks using Kroy yarn. I bought the FX expecting it to be the same. There is no way to match the self-patterning to match up. I completely unwound both skeins and used a lighted magnifying glass trying to find where the pattern starts. I’ve had to rip them out five times because I kept thinking I had found it. Also, the yarn is thinner in some places. I called Patons customer service and was told “the FX is not really for socks, it will never match”. I said the label says socks and she said that’s just the way it is. The color is Celestial Colors. The color is beautiful but they don’t match enough to give as a gift.

Single color skeins
Despite being described as a "self patterning" yarn of "gentle ombre stripes" these skeins contain only 1-2 colors, so if you are making socks, be aware that they will only have 1 color each.

Patons Kroy Socks is a great sock yarn. Very plump and hard-wearing. I love the colors in the FX line and they are also super cool if you want a color-changing yarn for colorwork.

Not Just for Socks 🧦
I really enjoy working with Patons Kory Socks yarn (wt. 1, fine) it’s not just for socks! I’ve shawls and sweaters , and a scarf out of it. It’s soft to touch , making it lovely to crochet and the color blends are so pretty.

Not as pictured
I bought several skeins, based on the color variations pictured. The skein of Cascade that I received is all 3 plies of gray and one of blue with no color variations in the whole skein. The Celestial and Clover do have some variation, but I knit for four or five inches before the color started to vary slightly. Not what I expected. I also have to pick pieces of straw and other plant matter out of the yarn.

I love the yarn, it made lovely socks. I wish that the balls were big enough to get a pair out of 2 balls and not have the large left over from ball 3.
