Intermediate Weekend Project

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Park Lane Paperie, 50 sheets 8 1/2"x 11" orange/yellow
  • Park Lane Paperie, 50 sheets 8 1/2"x 11" pink
  • Park Lane Paperie, 50 sheets 8 1/2"x 11" gray
  • Wood Dowel, 5/8"x 36"
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun/glue sticks
  • Pattern grid

DIRECTIONS:

  1. To print the pattern, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above).
  2. Remove the colors dark yellow, light orange and medium orange from the orange/yellow pack. Remove the lightest pink and the medium pink colors from the pink pack. Remove the white pieces from the gray pack.
  3. Cut the paper into strips 4"x 1".
  4. Begin making a paper chain, working down the first row of the pattern. Each square shown on the pattern will require two chains, as there is one shown chain, and one connecting chain per square.
  5. Continue following the pattern, working down each row.
  6. When a row is finished, thread it onto the wood dowel.

JOANN Hacks:

  • Be sure to glue each chain securely.
  • Follow the pattern closely while working.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clarification needed I think where the directions in number 4 state that "each square shown on the pattern will require two chains" should say "will require two paper rings". I too, was a little confused at first.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't understand Not sure why each requires 2 chains. Where does the second chain get attached?
