SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
JOANN HACKS:
- Wood laser cut ornaments - assorted patterns available
- Assorted bottles of acrylic paint in colors of your choice
- Small flat paintbrush
- Small detail paintbrushes
- Pencil and eraser
- Wooden circle discs
- Wooden letters & symbols
- Drill (optional)
- Gorilla Glue clear grip contact adhesive
- Rust-Oleum Satin Finish spray
- Fine sand paper (optional)
- Drill a hole in the top of any ornament bases without a hole for hanging.
- Lightly sand wood shapes to remove any rough edges.
- Paint shapes as desired using acrylic paint.
- Transfer designs to wood surface using a pencil before painting.
- Once both pieces are dry, adhere the letters and symbols with small amount of gorilla glue to the center of each disc.
- Spray each ornament with the clear satin spray with 2-3 coats following the directions on the can.
JOANN HACKS:
- Make sure the previous layer of paint is dry before applying the next layer. To give your ornament more definition, you could outline the design using a fine tip black sharpie marker.
