Painted Landscape Tote

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Canvas Tote Bag
• Acrylic Paint
• Paint Brushes
• Masking Tape
• Pencil

DIRECTIONS:

1. Use masking tape to make a square in the center of the tote.
2. Draw lines for the landscape using a pencil.
3. Start with the horizon line in the center.
4. Add a sun, moon, clouds or stars above the horizon line in the sky.
5. Below the horizon line, add hills, valleys, rivers, waves & trees.
6. Tall objects like mountains & trees can extend over the horizon line into the sky.
7. Insert a scrap of paper or cardboard into the center of the tote to keep paint from bleeding through.
8. Paint the landscape using acrylic paint.
9. For the sky, try using one color straight from the bottle & then adding white to that color for the sun/moon.
10. For the foreground landscape, try an ombre effect, starting with the darkest color at the front most section, adding a little bit of white to each section going back toward the horizon line.
11. Remove tape from the bag & allow paint to dry.
