Very useful for beginners!
I got this when I first started sewing and it was a great little starter pack with all of the essentials. As you sew more you buy more niche items but this pack has the core necessities.

Disappointed
Fiskars has always meant quality for me, so I am quite disappointed with this purchase. My main complaint is with scissors because they don't cut fabric at all! Only about half an inch of the deepest part of the blade cuts, after that fabric gets frayed and stretched for a bit and then gets stuck and bends between blades. Minor complaint is in regards to sewing gauge and measuring tape.
Sewing gauge is made of cheap plastic and is quite flimsy.
Measuring tape clicks as it spins out which is quite unpleasant to use for me personally. Snips, seam ripper and ruler work fine.

May need to purchase higher quality scissors.
3 stars for the scissors which don't seem very sharp for cutting fabric. The other items are terrific for basic essentials.
