Rated 1 out of 5 by from Reading/Sewing Ott light I have enjoyed using this on my sewing machine and as a reading light. I have not tried the magnifier yet but hope to use while doing some handwork and hope it will be helpful when using black or the dark threads against dark fabric.

There was no good place to attach it to either my machine or the cabinet, where it would shine light where I needed it and it wasn't right in my way of sewing. The (flexible) neck wasn't so flexible, and seemed too short. The light itself was bright enough. Given another setting, this light probably could be put to good use. It just didn't work out for me, and I have several other Ott lights that I love, and was so disappointed that I couldn't make this one work for me.
