Defective cloth
I purchased a bolt of the monks cloth for my Mom. She has been sick, so she wasn't able to use it. She said that she was going to cut pieces off in 2 yard pieces to make her afghans, but it is defective. The threads are fused together in places that there's no way to use it.

Not true monks cloth
I bought this for rug punching and it is not for that. It is for cross stitch. It is approximately nine holes to the inch. I’m very disappointed that this is.Aida, not monks cloth.

Not good quality.
Not good quality for tufting rugs. Doesn’t handle tension well either. Rips very easily. Wouldn’t recommend for commission projects or professional products. Really disappointed

Swedish Weaving with Monks Cloth
I have been making bkankets from Monks Cloth for 20 years. The material has recently changed. It used to be a lovely rough cotton. Now, it is a blend of some sort. It is not "natural." It is still workable, but not nearly the nice quality.

I agree with all comments. I loved having the availability of different colors when Walmart Traverse City carried it. I have bought hunter green, navy blue, yellow, black and a seafoam green loves every color. I did not buy pink, mauve or light blue but they carried that too. Wish these options were still available because the verigated yarn lookes so awesome on the colors I did buy and complete. I also do Swedish weaving and I would definately buy more fabric if more color options were available.

solid monks cloth for punch needle
pretty good! not as good as a monk's cloth I once got an in Etsy punch needle kit, but it does the job.

Its heavy weight chunky woven and perfect for the project im working on
Its got great texture and dyes well!
Just make sure to finish the edges lr itll unravel quickly
