DIRECTIONS:

  1. Read all instructions before cutting and sewing. Sew with accurate 1/4" seams throughout.
  2. Cut (12) strips 4 1/2"x WOF (width of fabric) from white fabric. Subcut into (108) - 4 1/2" squares. Set aside.
  3. Make template A and B from template plastic.
  4. Cut an additional (21) strips 4 1/2" x WOF. Using the cutting example on bottom of Diagram 1, trace and cut (208) of template A.
  5. Cut (14) - 4 1/2"x WOF strips from blue fabric. Following example, trace and cut (48) of template A and (128) of template B.
  6. From gold fabric cut (4) strips 4 1/2" x WOF. Trace and cut (48) of template B.
  7. From magenta fabric cut (4) strips 4 1/2"x WOF. Trace and cut (48) of template B.
  8. Follow Diagram 2 for color placement and number of each block needed.
  9. Sew templates A and B together by pinning piece B on top of piece A at curved corners with right sides together. Using lots of pins, ease and sew curved edges with a 1/4" seam. (Press curved blocks in alternating directions after you place them in order so they nest easily.)
  10. Refer to Diagram 3 for placement of the blocks. There will be 22 horizontal rows. Stack the blocks for each row in the order they will be sewn and label each stack by row number.
  11. Sew the blocks into rows and press.
  12. Join rows together. Press.
  13. Sandwich backing, batting and quilt top. Quilt as desired.
  14. Trim and bind quilt. It will finish at approximately 72" x 88".
