Mesh Beach Bag

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 1/2 yd Main fabric
• 1/3 yd Mesh fabric
• 2 5/8 yds Canvas strapping
• Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:

(1/2" seam allowance) 15 1/2" long x 17" wide finished bag.

1. Cut two 12" long x 18" wide from main fabric.
2. Cut two 6" long x 18" wide from mesh.
3. Pin and stitch mesh bottom section to top main fabric, front and back.
4. Sew along stitching line again to reinforce seam.
5. Press seam towards main fabric.
6. Cut strapping in half and pin cut edge to bottom of bag front, 3" in from each side.
7. Stitch strap to bag along edge of strap to within 1 1/2" from top of bag.
8. Sew remaining strap to back of bag.
9. With right sides together, stitch front to back of bag along sides and bottom.
10. Press under the top of bag 1/2" and then again 1/2". Topstitch in place, being sure not to catch to top straps in stitching. Reinforce straps to bag.
11. Turn and press.
