Use Basics on their own or combine with Liquitex professional materials- if made by Liquitex, they are all intermixable. Great for sketching and underpainting. Red and Green are a funny shade
The paint is alright. Not very thick but good enough. Only complaint I have is that the red ("primary" red) and the green are not the good shade for mixing and making other colors.

Great set for beginners or kids!
This is a great set for beginners or kids. I bought these for my 9 & 10 year olds who draw comics all day long. They wanted to see their illustrations come to life with paint and this set was terrific for the activity. The colors were bold, steady, good coverage, but could also be thinned if needed. They are a nice price and good quality. We'll buy these again when we need to restock.
