Rated 3 out of 5 by from Soft but lots of splices I ordered and started a bath mat, and in the first 3 inches, there were 2 splices. Due to the bulkiness of the yarn, I believe the knots are well hidden. I am hoping this does not persist

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not at all what I expected. First off I will address the color issue. The color I bought is called fern. It is showing on the website as a pretty vivid green. When my order came I thought I was sent the wrong color because it’s a very light dirty looking green color. More of a sage in my opinion. It has flecks of an olive green in it. I thought it was a solid color not a tweed or dappled color. It is soft but it is not appealing to look at. As I stated before, it looks dirty. And it also looks old and matted. It’s extremely hard to crochet with. It’s category 7 but it’s probably rated that because it has tall “fur” height. It’s definitely not thick. It is constructed with braided thread which is along the lines of a 2-3 weight. The fleece is a strip on one side. Kind of like eyelash yarn. I really hate it and I don’t hate many yarns. I’m returning it. I might have tried to make it work if the color wasn’t so horrible and if the fleece didn’t look so ratty. Sorry Lion Brand. You really missed the mark on this one.

This yarn was difficult to get started with, (so difficult in fact that I stopped trying for a few months) but once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze! It's perfect for teddy bears which I am still perfecting, but lends itself to turtles just fine.
