DIRECTIONS:

  1. (1/2" seam allowance included):
  2. Cut (2) 14"x 16" rectangles out of backing fabric and interfacing. Apply interfacing to wrong sides of each rectangle.
  3. Cut (3) 4"x 10" rectangles to use as button tabs. Sew each small rectangle wrong-sides together on all but one short end. Press seams open and turn tubes right-side out. Create a buttonhole large enough to hold buttons chosen 1 1/4" in from short finished edge of each tab.
  4. Line up unfinished edge of button tabs with 14" edge of backing rectangle, right-sides together. Button tabs should be spaced evenly along edge.
  5. Lay other backing rectangle on top, right-sides together and sew along all sides of backing rectangles, leaving 3" hole for turning. This will encase the button tabs into the top edge of the backing rectangles.
  6. Turn piece right-side out and press well.
  7. Sew buttons 1" up from where button strap attaches to backing rectangle. Fit button through buttonholes to create hanging loops.
  8. For larger pocket, cut (2) 6"x 18" rectangles out of fabric and sew right-sides together, leaving 2" hole for turning. Turn piece right-side out and press well. Topstitch 1/4" on top edge of pocket for neat finish.
  9. Align center of larger pocket with bottom center of backing rectangle and topstitch through all layers. Match Right and left edge of pocket to right and left edge of backing and topstitch into place. Pleat excess fabric from each section toward center of each pocket to create box pleats. Edge stitch bottom edge to complete pocket, closing turning hole in process.
  10. Mark 2" line above large pocket for medium pocket placement. Cut (2) 5"x 18" rectangles out of fabric. Repeat process from larger pocket, except create 4 box-pleated pockets instead of 3.
  11. Mark 2" line above medium pocket for accessory holder. Cut (2) 3"x 14" rectangles out of fabric and sew right-sides together, leaving 2" hole for turning. Turn piece right-side out and press well. Edge stitch on each long end of rectangle, closing hole in process.
  12. Topstitch right and left side of holder to right and left edge of backing rectangle. Topstitch through all layers of holder to create loops for accessories.
