SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Simplicity® Pattern 8604 & materials required to make Look C
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Sewing machine
  • Iron
  • Craft paper

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut out pattern pieces to create look C, except peplum, sleeve and button guide. Cut out sleeve pattern needed for look B.
  2. Lengthen sleeve pattern for full-length look (4" added for size 10 in photo).
  3. Mark line 5/8" outside of center front mark on jacket front pattern piece and trim off excess. Trim same amount off of jacket front facing pattern.
  4. Sew jacket, following instructions for look C up until point of attaching jacket facing/lining to outside of jacket at front edge.
  5. Sew jacket facing/lining to jacket right-sides together, leaving opening at the center back hem for turning. Trim seam allowance, clip curves and corners, and turn piece right-side out.
  6. Understitch jacket edge as much as possible and press well.
  7. Slip-stitch opening in jacket hem closed.

JOANN Hacks:

  • Always use designated “shorten, lengthen" points on patterns when changing length.
