Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stopped working. Wouldn't buy again. Mine stopped working after a year. Support couldn't help. The only option I was given was to buy a refurbished unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice gadget Bought used and while it is great, it does have some issues that others seem to have. Doesnt cut all the way thru on the far right side and support sometimes takes a few days to get back to you. When they do they want you to do steps that youve probably already have done to try and troubleshoot before reaching out. Also if you have to send it in for repairs you better hope you kept all the original packaging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my Forge I think I use this just about every day, some people have a hobby of running, and mine is cutting and sanding wood to feed the laser. My home and workplace are littered with pieces of artwork that I have made. It has been such an amazing process. Also the community is very nurturing and supportive to newbies. And, they ship to Hawaii! It is a very big investment, however I have no regrets with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Glowforge I've had my Glowforge for a year and a half now and it brings me, my family and friends, a great deal of enjoyment. It allows me to be creative on a daily basis like no other hobby has before, and I shower those around me with fun, beautiful and practical gifts, all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best tool I ever bought I have this product, and have been using it about 6 months. Hands down, the most useful tool I have ever bought. If I can dream it up, chances are, I can make it happen with this machine. There is some studying and learning to do. Choose a good design software, and start learning it inside and out. AI, Inkscape, Gimp, or any others and usually a combination of 2 or more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Tool (with some caveats) I do love this machine, though there are frustrations. As some have mentioned, technical support from Glowforge can be opaque and slow, but they do respond. I had to have my unit replaced under warranty and the process was smooth. The size of the bed (in all dimensions) is limiting. I knew this going in, I chose not to spring for the Pro and its pass-through slot, but my imagination is bigger than some of the pieces I want to make. I’ve found creative solutions to most of that. The community of users is huge and massively helpful, both on the GF official forums and places like Facebook and Reddit. The interface software and the service to push designs to the machine are cloud-based, and while there’s a risk you can’t use the machine if your internet is out, it also means that constant updates to the device’s capability are possible. I’ve seen a lot of fixes and new features pushed out in the year I’ve had it. I know a lot of people run businesses with one (or more), but I don’t put that kind of load on mine. I experiment, make “art” and gifts and have sold a few pieces here and there. I have put just about every material through it that it can handle. Having it has lead me to up my creative game and to become more proficient with design tools like Adobe Illustrator.
