Folk Art Home Decor wax
I hadn’t intended to buy the Folk Art Home Decor wax while shopping but because I’ve been pleased with the paint so decided to give it a try. I used the wax on the skirt and legs of a table over chalk paint. The wax was so easy to use due to the paint-like consistency it went on quickly. I used a sponge applicator which made the finish smooth. It’s been almost a month since applying the wax, the finish looks great and is holding up well.

Easy to apply. Seals the paint. Just not durable. If items are placed on top of something with the wax coated finish (even after it has cured), it leaves marks

Works sometimes
I am back and forth with this wax. First time I used it it gummed up and removed some of the chalk paint so I didn’t think I’d try it again but after running out of my expensive one I had to try it again and that time it worked amazingly well. Better than my expensive one too. Well I go to use it for a new project, i did it the same exact same way and it gummed up and removed paint again. I had let my piece dry for 24 hours but now I’m thinking the piece it did so great on had dried for a couple days and maybe that made all the difference. I’ll test this theory on a small piece & come back and edit if that’s the problem.

Antique wax
It is good chalk paint wax for antique furniture look, little too dark for my project but I managed to add regular chalk wax on it. Came out perfect. Love my project so much!!
