Not for me, but probably user error
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a lot of trouble using this scissor sharpener. I'm chalking a lot of that up to user error, and I will continue to try it. So far, I can't see to get a motion going that feels smooth or actually makes a difference on my scissor blades.

Poor Design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scissors are a frequently used tool in my house. I have many pairs ranging from old to new. And ALL of them are dull!
A scissor sharpener was exactly what I needed to make everyday life a little easier. I received this Fiskars Universal Scissors Sharpener and couldn't wait to get started. I already knew the brand Fiskars; (I actually own an old pair of orange Fiskars scissors that match the sharpener 😂)
So I lined up my scissors and began using the sharpener. There was difficulty because there's no weight to the sharpener and it is hard to hold it in place while sharpening the scissors at the same time.
In addition to this issue the sharpener didn't really sharpen any of my scissors. Unfortunately they are just as dull as before..

Not a great sharpener
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have old scissors that needed to be sharpened and tried the Fiskars sharpener, but sad to say it doesn’t work that well on my scissors. Followed the instructions but it didn’t sharpen it that great. It’s definitely a safe product, just make sure the scissors doesn’t poke you or anything. The item is very light and wouldn’t last that long from what I have observed as I use it. Happy that I’ve tried it.

Do you really need it?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works. But it's it necessary? As someone who was originally a fashion major I can see this being handy for those that brought cutting shears or does a lot of arts/crafting..but for the everyday person? It might be a waste of money.. And time. It's a learning curb, very awkward at first, while it said to do the motion about 4 times, I didn't feel comfortable with it until the 5th or 6th. And I'm someone who uses a knife shaper. This product is good for someone who wants to save money on scissors especially more expensive type, just make sure yours can be used with it.

This is a nice invention for sharpening your scissors!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is sturdy plastic that is easy to hold. You can not insert scissors the wrong way. Believe me, I tried. Then, you use a cutting motion to sharpen your blades. I took a pair of scissors that had difficulty cutting a single sheet of paper and sharpened them. afterward, they could cut a small stack of paper. Now, with these being plastic and sharpening items such as scissors that you move in a cutting motion, you do get scratches and marks near the opening to the sharpening stones. But you cannot get anything else into the sharpening stones such as fingers and such.

It’s really easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I figured out how to use it after a while. Just hold onto one side of the scissors and sharp one side at a time instead of following the instructions. It’s way easier and it gets the scissors really sharp. It’s really fun to use too and I’ve sharpened every pair of scissors in the house. No more dull scissors!
