Sneaky Good
I didn't have a specific need for this tool, it just seemed like a good idea. Yes, you can get your markings without it, but it's so much easier to use this. Once I had it available on the table I was surprised by how often I used it.

Good but not as accurate as a flat ruler
Easy to use and very helpful with quilt making. Measurement lines do not all line up across the two pieces. Works fine for what I needed it for but may be an issue if I needed a larger measurement. Also, corners are very sharp. Not a problem, just be aware that they can cut and scrape you easily.

Not a good choice for working quilt pieces
This is a foldable ruler so that it can be an 8" square or triangle. The two triangles are held together by a piece of clear tape so I'm concerned about the tape wearing out from folding and it's ability to hold a perfect square. In addition, one triangle is tinted orange which I found difficult to line up my edges thru. No reason both sides couldn't have been clear.
