DIY Personalized 3D Paper Flower Canvas

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • P-touch Embellish PT-D215e
  • P-touch Embellish Pink with Gold Satin Ribbon Cartridge
  • 12"x 12" stretched canvas
  • 8"x 11" cardstock (9 sheets: 8 for flowers, 1 green for leaves)
  • 24" of soft 1/2" rope
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive dots

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut 6-8" circles of cardstock. Start on the outside edge of the circle and cut a spiral inward, leaving a round tab at the end. Cut 8 circles.
  2. Starting at the outside edge of the spiral, roll the flower until you reach the middle. Place a dot of glue on the end tab and glue the spiral to the tab. Repeat for the remaining circles until you have 8 spiral roses.
  3. Cut 8 various leaf shapes out of the green cardstock.
  4. Lay the rope on the canvas in a circle. Double the circle and trim the excess. Glue the rope to the canvas.
  5. Place and glue 4 flowers and 2 sets of leaves on opposite sides of the rope.
  6. Personalization Instructions:
  7. Insert the P-touch Embellish Pink with Gold Satin Ribbon Cartridge into the P-touch Embellish, flip over and turn on.
  8. Make sure your machine is reset by holding down shift and the backspace button. Choose Text&Format and press OK.
  9. Select the Pattern Key select Text and select the Continuous Text Pattern. Select the pattern you like most and hit OK. Type you message. We selected the message “Happiness is enjoying the little things in life EVERYDAY". The Caps button on the left-hand side of your machine above shift
  10. Before printing any of the messages select the font, using the font key, for this project we selected Calgary.
  11. Once the message is printed on the satin ribbon, use a scissor to flag the ends of the ribbons. This can be done by folding the ribbon lengthwise and cutting on an angle.
  12. Place adhesive dots on the back of the ribbon and secure to the canvas.

CRAFT HACK TIPS & TRICKS:

  • Feel free to use any Font, Style or Symbols you would like, make it personal.

  • You can add fun frames with the Frame key and scroll through till you find the perfect one.

  • Remember to always clear your machine before you start a new project or it will use the setting that you set with your last one.

  • You can find the “!" by holding down Shift and the #1.
