Cricut Onesie Iron Ons

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Assorted Cricut® iron-on material
  • Weeder tool
  • Cricut® mats

DIRECTIONS:

    WHAT JUST HAPPENED?
  1. Select text box and type "what".
  2. Select text box and type "just".
  3. Select text box and type "happened?".
  4. Align words horizontally to the left.
  5. Select all and Group.
  6. Duplicate new grouped word twice.
  7. Size approx 5"x 5" for 3-6 month onesie, 6"x 6" for 6-9 month onesie, 6"x 7" for 9-12 or 12-18 onesie.
  8. Select and attach each image — 1/2 and 3.
  9. Get iron-on material ready on the mat and cut.
  10. Weed out negative material.
  11. Iron onto onesie.

    BABY
  1. Select image icon and type baby in the search engine.
  2. Select an image that says baby.
  3. Insert onto canvas.
  4. Insert a circle onto the canvas.
  5. Place baby image over the circle, select both and slice.
  6. Duplicate your new baby/circle image twice.
  7. Adjust your new baby/circle image to 4"x 4" for 3-6 month onesie, 5"x 5" for 6-9 month onesie, 6"x 6" for 9-12 month or larger.
  8. Get iron-on material ready on the mat, and cut.
  9. Weed out positive material leaving the negative.
  10. Iron onto onesie.

    BORN THIS WAY
  1. Select text box and type "born", change font to cursive.
  2. Select text box and type "this way", change font to any.
  3. Align words centered horizontally.
  4. Select images, type vine, select a vine image and duplicate twice on canvas.
  5. Adjust vines so one is on the right and one is on the left of the words.
  6. Select the vines and select attach.
  7. Select the words and select attach.
  8. Group entire image.
  9. Duplicate image twice.
  10. Size new image to 5"x 4" for 3-6 month onesie, 6"x 4" for 6-9 month onesie and 7"x 5" for any larger.
  11. Get material set up on Cricut® mat and cut.
  12. Weed out negative material.
  13. Iron onto onesie.

    CUTE AS A BUTTON
  1. Insert text box and type "cute".
  2. Insert text box and type "as a".
  3. Align words centered horizontally and adjust "as" and "a" to the desired spot.
  4. Insert button image below text.
  5. Group entire image and words.
  6. Duplicate image twice.
  7. Adjust size to 4"x 5" for 3-6 onesie, 4"x 6" for 6-9 month onesie, and 5"x 6" for any larger onesies.
  8. Select entire image and attach.
  9. Get iron-on material ready on the mat and cut.
  10. Weed out negative material.
  11. Iron onto onesie.

    ANIMALS
  1. Select images.
  2. Search whale, giraffe, and elephant.
  3. Insert each image onto canvas.
  4. Adjust size of elephant image to approx. 4"x 5" for 6-9 month onesie and 4"x 6" for larger onesies.
  5. Adjust size of giraffe to 3"x 6" for 6-9 month onesie.
  6. Adjust size of whale to 4"x 5" for 6-9 month onesie and 4x6 for larger onesies.
  7. Make sure each image is a different color so you can cut them out on different colored iron-on material.
  8. Set up 3 mats with different iron-on material and cut.
  9. Weed out negative material and iron on.

JOANN Hacks:

  • Turn on Mirror for iron-on projects.
  • Weed out only the POSITIVE material for the BABY onesie project.
  • When ironing multiple layers cut the heat time in half for the first iron on and the second iron on.
