Afghan is worked in one piece in a simple stitch pattern.
A circular needle is used to accommodate the width of the piece. Work back and forth in rows on the circular needle, just as if working on straight needles.
AFGHAN:
Loosely cast on 60 sts.
Knit 7 rows.
Stitch pattern
Row 1 (right side): Knit 5, purl to last 5 sts, knit last 5 sts.
Rows 2-8: Knit.
Repeat Rows 1-8 until piece measures about 53" from beginning, ending with a repeat of Row 8 as the last row you work.
Bind off loosely.
FINISHING:
Weave in yarn ends.
