Cover Story Blanket

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Size 15 knitting needles
• Scissors
• 1 skein of Lion Brand® Cover Story yarn in your choice of color
• Crochet hook

DIRECTIONS:

1. Yarn used for sample: Cover Story, Mineral


2. Cast on 80 stitches
3. Rows 1-5: Knit every row (garter stitch)
4. Row 6: K5, P10, repeat to end
5. Row 7: Knit all
6. Repeat 2 row pattern (rows 6-7) until you get to the last 5 rows of your blanket
7. Last 5 rows: Knit every row (garter stitch)
8. Weave in ends

JOANN HACKS:

• You can use a circular knitting needle with a long cord to hold a large amount of stitches - just don't join in the round. Knit back and forth as you would on regular needles.


• If you lose track of what stitch you're on, you can determine a knit or purl stitch by the placement of the bar on the stitch you're knitting into.


• You can place a stitch holders after each K5 and P10 section to easily keep track of your stitch pattern.
