DIRECTIONS:

  1. To print the patterns, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above).
  2. Cut out all pieces of bean bag chair out of main color and bottom fabric. Cut 8 3"x3" squares out of bottom fabric.
  3. Sew seat to chair back, matching points of “chair back" (right-sides together) to notches on “seat".
  4. Sew seat bottom to seat/chair back piece, right-sides together.
  5. Fold 6"x 3" rectangle in half, long, wrong sides together. Stitch 1/2" in from raw edge and turn tube right-side out. Pin handle to place as indicated on “chair back" pattern.
  6. Sew two 3" squares, right-sides together on three sides. Trim seam allowances and turn piece right-side out. Repeat process for the rest of 3" squares.
  7. Apply grommets to center finished edge opposite raw edge of each finished 3" square. Baste raw edges (right-sides together) of each to position indicated on pattern for back and seat bottom.
  8. Sew back to already sewn pieces (right-sides together), matching short ends of seat bottom to edges of chair back.
  9. Sew bottom to sewn piece, right-sides together, leaving 10" hole for filling.
  10. Turn chair right-sides out and fill piece with entire bags of Bean Bag Filler.
  11. Slip-stitch opening closed.
  12. Cut 32" of webbing in half and finish raw edges. Fold over one edge 1 1/4" and fold over center bar of slide buckle and stitch 1/4" from edge of webbing. Flip piece over so wrong side is showing. Loop one swivel hook onto center of webbing opposite side of buckle and fold webbing toward buckle. Loop webbing through opposite side of buckle and fold edge under 1 1/4". Slide second swivel hook into webbing fold and stitch 1/4" away from edge of webbing. Repeat process for second strap. Attach to grommets on each side of chair.
