It does whats promised
I was new to sublimation and when shopping for a printer I read all the reviews and watched many hours of info. For what I needed the Brother SP1 was going to be the one and I have not been sorry about the purchase. Its easy to set up and use. The best is that its self cleaning, as I was concerned about not being able to use it daily, or even weekly. The only draw back is the cost of the ink, therefore the 4 stars instead of 5. I would also had like to have had a choice of a wide format printer as well allowing for a larger print area.

The Perfect Sublimation Printer
This is the best sublimation printer of its size. Needed a quick resolution for a craft fair where I was planning to offer coffee mugs. Vinyl wasn't cutting it, sublimation vinyl certainly wasn't cutting it. And this printer was just what i needed. Prints quickly, colors are fantastic, and refills on ink i can get locally. Plus the ink lasts a really long time. I've made 240 mugs on the ink that came with the printer and still have ink.

It works the way described. I havent done alot yet. The printer does take a little longer than a standard printer. Describing how the paper was put in the printer was confusing so i watched a youtube video.

Great for hobbyists
Very good for the price makes for a good hobby printer for sublimation to make things for your family and friends was kind of disappointed, thinking that he had a scanner and he doesn’t. Wish that software had a grid for visual sizing.
