Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst machine ever! I am not a beginning sewer. I bought this machine because I needed a new one and didn't want to spend a lot of money, nor did I need fancy stitches. I am hugely disappointed with this product. I have reviewed the instruction several times, followed the trouble shooting guide, etc. and after about 20 attempts to get a simple straight stitch, I am giving up and buying a different brand.. one ridiculous feature is that the removal of the needle requires the tiny "screwdriver" thing they provide, which I had no success using because the screw was too tight. Most machines have a lever you can turn easily.

The houndstooth print of black/white was amazingly at a very low cost and along with the notions (patterns), needles has provened to have been my most and best choices. Customer service is always available upon your sewing needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even Beginners Can Use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Brother FB1757T Mechanical Sewing Machine with Extension Table complementary from Influenster for my honest opinion. I found the instruction manual along with the disk very informative. The machine was easy to tread and I really like the LED light. I used to sew with my grandmother and can’t wait to get back into the hobby again. The machine seems simple even to use as someone who has been out of practice for years. I really am thankful to have the opportunity to practice a craft that has been a family tradition for so many generations. At least I don’t have to worry about any foot pedals to push (if you know what I mean). I plan to use to finish some quilts that my grandmother started.
