SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 72" x 9" Flannel Backed Sherpa or 72" x 9" Sherpa & 72" x 9" Flannel or Woven Fabric (2yds yields 6 scarves)
- 5 yds Extra Wide Double Fold Bias Tape, Contrast
- Thread (to match bias tape)
- Sewing Machine
- Scissors
- Tape Measure or Ruler
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut fabric to 72"x 9" rectangle.
- If using 2 fabrics, Cut both fabrics to 72"x 9" rectangles.
- Put fabrics right sides out (like you want them in the final scarf) and baste the 2 fabrics together at 5/8".
- Attach binding to the face of the fabric.
- Unfold the bias tape at the top edge, fold down toward inside 1", press.
- With tape unfolded, line up unfolded edge with edge of scarf, starting 1" down from edge of binding, stitch all around edge of scarf at 3/8" taking care at the corners. When you get to the beginning again, stitch over the 1" to finish.
- Fold/wrap the bias tape around the edge of the fabric, and edgestitch the bias tape down to finish the scarf edge.

- After cutting the rectangle to size, make sure to try it on, and adjust as needed.
