SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Bernat® Blanket™ Perfect Phasing Yarn: 10.5 oz/220 yds
  • Deep Teal Yarn #43005: 4 balls or 790 yds
  • Circular Knitting Needle: Size U.S. 11, 36" L (or size needed to obtain gauge)

SIZE:
Approximately 46"x 60"

GAUGE:
8 sts & 13 rows = 4" in stocking stitch.

DIRECTIONS:

NOTES:
Beg working from darkest end of yarn at bottom edge of blanket.
To maintain ombre effect, join next ball from opposite end so shades match (lightest end to lightest end or darkest end to darkest end) as necessary, resulting in a fade from dark-to-light to light-to-dark, & back again across the blanket.

Cast on 123 sts. Do not join. Working back & forth across needle in rows, proceed as follows:
1st row: (RS). K1. ssk. K9. *Center dec. K9. Rep from * to last 3 sts. K2tog. K1.
2nd row: K1. *P1. K4. (K1. yo. K1) in next st. K4. Rep from * to last 2 sts. P1. K1.
Last 2 rows form pat.
Cont in pat until work from beg measures 60", ending on a WS row.
Cast off.
