Not the best quality macrame cord
Bernat yarn is my favorite yarn to work with so when I saw that they now make cotton macrame cord I was excited to try it. When it went on sale online, I purchased 3 colors ( natural, taupe and olive). The quality of the cord was disappointing. This is 3 strand cotton cord that immediately began to unravel 10 minutes into my first project using this cord. If you are going to use this cord, then tape the ends to prevent this from happening. Also I found that the cord thickness varies. For example, the olive cord was about 4.5 mm in thickness and the natural was thicker, being about 5.5 mm in thickness. There are many better quality macrame cords available such as Nook Theory and Cora's cotton craft cord that are nicer and less expensive than this cord. My projects came out fine but I would not purchase it again. It it too expensive for the small amount (44 yards) of cord that you get and I like a nicer quality cord than this.

Go to macrame cord for larger projects
Tried lots of different cords and this one is my favorite. The colors are rich, it doesn’t unravel while you work with it, and the knots come out consistent. Price is great for the quality you’re getting.

Bernal macramé
I am very happy with my purchase for just 1 issue. The label on one of my natural colored ones shows taupe and it’s definitely natural, just like the other two pulled which were supposed to be natural. Now I have to drive to exchange it. Ugh!
