Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poorly written pattern This pattern is really cute despite the poorly written pattern. I had to revise several rows to make is pattern turn out correctly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Pattern Ever! A poorly written pattern even for an experienced crocheter. Suggest improving on pattern or removing from this website.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Crochet in the top of the section Rnd 4, Rnd 10, Rnd 18 working in the top of the stitch. I folded the front and back loop forward and crochet in the horizontal back bar behind the front and back loop. Then each horizontal bar section had what looked like 2 chains running across the hat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute hat! This hat is absolutely adorable! However the way the pattern is written is very confusing to me. I am at least an intermediate crocheted and have read one thing of patterns before. However, the beginning of this pattern has me super stumped. It would be amazing if Joann could upload a YouTube video with a step by step tutorial of this hat! I love it but I’m afraid I’m unable to make it unless I get help reading the pattern.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super pretty hat I follow all the instructions and my hat came out super pretty. In Row 4 it is explain that the horizontal line is sc, ch1. Well that is what I understood . I follow the instructions and for me was perfect. Thank you Joann’s for this beautiful project. I also use other yarns like Big Twist combining different colors and it was perfect.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute, but a little hard to follow directions This is a cute, not too hard project, and I’m making my second hat. Some of the directions were a little hard to follow (for example, I’ve never seen directions to make a horizontal line, but maybe that’s just me. I thought It could just have said sc 1, ch 1 around, unless I’m not understanding it.) Where things didn’t look right, I just did a single crochet and the hat turned out just fine for my use. And it fits perfectly!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad pattern I call this the crappy pattern hat. However, if you can make it work it is very pretty. I made three of them because people loved them. Not enough brim color yarn to continue on throughout the hat but another shade works fine. Another hat, I didn't have enough light color yarn. Maybe they should sell this weight yarn by the skein.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pattern could use some adjustments in my opinion This is a cute pattern but it has what I feel are some errors. For example, round 9 should be a repeat of row 1 after switching back to the "H" hook. Then repeat rows 2 through 4. Round 15 should repeat row 7. Round 17 should switch back to "H" hook. It is unclear what hook should be used for rows 19 and 20, but I assume to continue with "H" hook. These changes would make the pattern easier to follow.
