Rough and twisty
I've used Aunt Lydia's Crochet Thread Metallic Size 10 in many colors for many projects, mostly Christmas ornaments. I do not recommend this thread. It is very rough to the touch, and as others have also noted, you have to regularly untwist your project. It is worth it to seek out other brands, even if more expensive and less convenient to find. I'm a pinch, this is adequate, but I do not recommend long-term.

Twists bad
The Metallic Crochet Thread twists so bad. Work 3 inches have to stop to unwind the twists. Such a waste of time to have to unravel the tight twists. Wish they can think of a better way to package.
I will never recommend nor will I ever buy this again

Better than expected
This worked up really quickly. It has a nice sparkle. While it will twist together while you're working due to how it's made, it easily straightens out as it passes through your fingers. You can also adjust it when you have to adjust your tension hand. It is a small amount for the price.

Great for Embellishment of Small Projects
I can understand the review on the twist of this product so you need to be careful of the twist and I also found the gold or silver metallic strand will unwind from the cotton crochet thread. But if you keep these in mind this thread is great for adding embellishments on small projects. The original pattern of the angel ornament below called for gold thread. You couldn’t see the thread in the final angel so I substituted this and it worked great! I also added a halo to the original pattern and glued a small bow made from 1/8 inch ribbon which I also bought at JoAnn’s.

Terrible thread
I bought this a while back. It's terrible to work with. I spend more time to untwist it than to crochet.
The amount of thread per ball is also very small in comparison to the others. Never ever again.

Easy to work with.
I recently purchased this thread. It was used on a tutorial I was watching so I purchased it. It is easy to work with but in my opinion it is too gray. I wish it was a very light shade or white, for that matter.
