- Plain drink tumbler
- We R’ Spinner Tumbler Turner
- Box of We R’ epoxy kit
- Rubbing alcohol
- Paper towels
- Alcohol Inks
- White spray paint
- Medium disposable mixing cup
- Small mixing cups, 2
- Wooden stirring stick or metal stick (preferred)
- Medium paintbrush
- Timer
- Roll of electrical tape
- Scissors
- Heat Gun
- X-Acto® knife
- Sandpaper, various grits
- Plastic gloves
DIRECTIONS:
- Spray paint the tumbler white and let it dry.
- Follow the instructions on the epoxy kit to mix the resin.
- While mixing the resin, set aside two small cups to mix the color for the resin.
- You will be making one big batch of resin and then putting some small amounts of it in the smaller cups.
- In the smaller cups place a few drops of the colors you want to have and mix well with the resin and set aside.
- Place the tumbler onto the We R’ turner.
- Make sure the tumbler is level before starting the rotation.
- Apply the clear resin onto the tumbler.
- Once you have the clear on the wat that you want, then take the colored resin and apply it on top of the clear resin.
- Don’t apply any of the colored resin around the phrase that you have on the cup. As it is spinning you might need to wipe it away from the phrase to keep it white.
- Let the tumbler spin for at least 4 hours.
- You may need to put on multiple coats.
- Sand between coats.
- For final coat, put on a thin coat and press it as you are wiping it onto the tumbler.
JOANN HACKS:
- Use your heat gun to heat up Bottle A as you are pouring the two together into one cup. Stir with a metal stir stick (preferred) or wooden stick. Mix for three minutes and let it sit for one minute before applying.
