Not 40 weight 😞
Though the thread quality is fine, this is NOT 40 weight thread as listed in the description. Buyer beware if you need actual 40 weight thread.

First time user of Gutermann-very pleased
Do mostly hand stitching, mending, etc. Wanted to find out if ALL thread brands were the same in terms of breakage, getting knotted, etc. Decided to try a small variety pack. On my first use, I could tell a big difference: much fewer "nuisance" issues. Price of Gutermann is higher than my old brand, but headache is less.... Will buy again

Great Set For A Sewing Kit
I purchased this set to make a basic household sewing kit with. It has black, red, white, off-white, brown, gray, and navy. The amount of thread is small, but it’s ideal for basic hand sewing applications. Each spool is the same amount that’s sold in-store and online individually - making this set a better deal than buying them on their own. I get that it’s pricey, but you’re buying the Gutermann name. And you’re getting 110 yards per spool, versus 25 yards per spool in traditional sewing kits.
