Frustrated from
This past year has been terrible for embroidery thread. No matter what I do I can't get the tension right. Either thread breaks or is loopy. If I'm lucky and try a different spool it sometimes okay. I watch the lot numbers. So frustrated. I've been embroidering for 10 years on Janome.

colorful quiltingI used mini King varigated thread to quilt my "quilt of many colors". It turned out very nice and worthy of passing down to my grandchildren.

What happened to good old Coats and Clark?Finished a 1000 meter older spool of this embroudery thread. The new spool immediately frayed and caused broken needles. I gave up after 6 broken needles in 10 minutes. This thread does not glide through the thread path when the foot is raised. I'm returning 3 unused spools and am ticked that I have to "eat" the cost of the one I tried to use.
My machine is a Brother Dream Machine2, and I have 60+ years of sewing experience.

Very nice but storage issueThe thread itself is very nice, and it does a nice smooth finish. The only negative is, other brands have a pop out thing that holds the thread in place for storage. It makes it so the threads arent all unwinding when stored. I store mine in a bin, so they unwind unfortunately.
